Teach your children the amazing things that God has done, then be delighted as you learn things you missed or forgot.

This wonderful book has been reedited and the new edition was released at the end of October, 2009.  People have spoken so highly of this work that we felt it was worthwhile to spend the time and money to do all that is possible to make it easily understood and delighted in as it tells children of the amazing things God has done.

Book 1 — Genesis

This book is truly wonderful. It has captured parents and children with creative, gripping, and beautiful portrayals of what truly happened in the beginning. The beginning books of the Bible are essential to our understanding of God's redemptive story. The author of Herein Is Love creatively focuses our attention on the events that bring this story to life. The series has the richness of well-written literature and the depth of understanding inherent in a commentary. The result is a series of books whose details live and sing. They help parent and child understand the Christ-centered Word, and they are enjoyable reading for both. Your own faith will be strengthened while reading to your children, and your children will be encouraged, lesson by lesson, to believe in the Lord Jesus.

“Interesting and very competent … a major contribution!”
— Dr. D.A. Carson, Research Professor of New Testament, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School

“Nancy Ganz’s commentaries for children are unique in their field. They masterfully combine biblical theology, covenantal theology, historical theology, and practical theology, such that both children and adults may profit immensely from them. Children are gripped by them. They are great aids for parents in family worship. Even pastors can learn from them, particularly in how to bring truth to the mind and conscience of the young.”
— Joel R. Beeke, President, Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary, Grand Rapids

"The publication of commentaries for children on neglected biblical books such as Exodus and Leviticus is noteworthy in itself. Christians have for too long starved their children of much of the nourishment of that Word which is 'all... profitable'. But Nancy Ganz's 'Herein is Love' series is very much more. Here, in fact, is a biblical theology, a re-telling of these ancient writings in the light of the whole Bible and with a firm grasp of its central thrilling theme - the redeeming love of God in Christ."
— Professor Ted Donnelly, President, Reformed Theological College, Belfast

"Where can one even think of finding such treasures as these fine commentaries on Bible books written for children? A tour de force in children’s literature."

—Derek W. H. ThomasJohn E. Richards Professor of Systematic and Practical Theology, RTS

"Artfully written, they beautifully draw out the implications of the Old Testament narrative that are foundational for Christian faith. I guarantee that your children will not want you to stop reading these books."
Dr. Tedd Tripp

"Herein Is Love is a sensory storehouse. The book brims with shimmering sights, sensational sounds, savory smells, tingling touches and tantalizing tastes of life in the ancient Near Eastern world. Better yet, it is full to overflowing with faith in the true and living God of the Bible. Use it. You, your children and your students will sense God and His Messiah marching through history. Herein Is Love will titillate the senses and touch the heart."
Dr. George Scipione, Professor, Westminster Theological Seminary President

"Mrs. Ganz, your words came today in the post---the commentaries for Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus. While making lunch here, the pressure cooker steaming the winter cold windows, I read the first few pages of the Genesis commentary while I washed potatoes. The children, working on math here at the table, didn't see me smiling, hardly breathing. You write of Him the way my heart sings. And then to read that you too shiver in the Canadian cold, only a few hours away, that you too homeschooled, you also seek quiet to write--penning words in a barn , and how you also yearn to magnify Him in words for children...I softly come knocking at your door with words of appreciation. A homeschooling mother noted on our Yahoo Group List for "A Child's Geography" , how she knew I would appreciate the works of Nancy Ganz. I can only say, I have waited too long. We read the first chapter of the Genesis commentary for our after-lunch devotional....and the children all asked for more, wondered where I found “that” book, and wanted to know who wrote it ~smile~. Be encouraged. I know how you must persevere to write, how solitary the endeavor, how high the cost. You echo my heart to share the wonder of Him with children.. My sincere gratitude for your faithfulness, Nancy. After reading… I wanted to hold your book close, I wanted them to be in hardcover, for it is the kind of book that one knows they will treasure, pass down, read again and again. Thank you for glorifying Him with your words, and investing in the lives of innumerable children.  Ann Voskamp

"I was wondering if there are plans for any more of the Herein Is Love series after Leviticus? We are currently going through the Genesis book. My children and I love it. My 12 year old daughter has said several times that she is glad we are reading and studying it because she has a much bigger and better picture of God. It has also prompted a number of questions from my 6 and 8 year old. My 14 year old is not that thrilled with going through it (or anything else at this point) but finds himself sucked into our discussions and comments. We are just reading each lesson after one meal of the day. We aren't really doing any of the extras except the review questions, but it has been enough. Thank you so much for publishing these books." Anita Evanhoe and family
