When The Universe Began

God's Great PlanThere was a moment when there was no universe to observe. There were no light years to measure because there was no light. There was no way to measure time, because there was no time. There was no gravity, no radiation, no black holes, no stars, no planets, no comets, no asteroids, no moons to be observed. The physical universe did not exist.

Or did it?

Before there was light, time and galaxies, there was God. This same God asked Job a question whose answer gives the difference between creature and Creator:

“Where does light come from,
and where does darkness go?
Can you take each to its home?
Do you know how to get there?”

Of course, Job could only answer I don’t know, no and no. But the answer is obvious. It is God who brings forth the light and reveals the darkness as he pleases. Man can only wonder at the majestic power of God. Just as God brought forth the light, he also brought forth the universe. But where did the universe come from? When did it begin?

Before the universe could be observed, it existed in the mind of God. God did not build the universe from what was. He spoke the universe into existence from what was not.

So, when God promises that he will never leave you or forsake you it means something! When says he will care for you, you can count on it. Be encouraged. The God who was before time began is for you!

“What, then, shall we say in response to these things?
If God is for us, who can be against us?”
