Deuteronomy 4:9 presents a challenge to God’s people. Moses says to take special care that the mercies and goodness of God do not move away from your heart, your inner person. Here are two translations of this verse. “Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them slip from your heart as long as you live.
