Gospel

When you turn to Jesus in repentance and faith, what happens next?

The apostle Peter sums it up as growing in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. We grow to know Jesus better and grow to rest in His amazing grace that sustains and strengthens us day in and day out.

Like with physical development, our spiritual growth can take place steadily or in spurts. But one thing is sure—if we have new life in Jesus we will grow by the work of the Holy Spirit in us.

Essential to our growth is a steady diet of God’s Word, the Bible, putting into practice what we are taught as Christ’s disciples.

One place to begin is by exploring basic principles essential to our life in Christ—faith, hope, and love. These three expressions of God’s grace animate us for a vital and vibrant life with Jesus.

To help you explore these fundamentals I have written three small books that work through three New Testament letters that emphasize them. The epistle of James majors on faith; the epistle of 1 Peter on hope; and the epistle of 1 John on love.

I’ve written the books using a devotional format that works through the epistles in bite-size portions, providing both explanation and encouragement.

Below you will find links to PDFs of the introductions of each book and in the PDF there’s a link to purchase them if you would like.

You might consider reading them with another Christian for discussion, mutual support, and prayer.

May the Lord our God richly bless and keep you in Jesus!
