The End of Fossil Fuels

Little is certain in this life.  But there is one fact, one rock that is solid, certain and secure.

Christ will return and make all things new.

There will be no need for fossil fuels or alternative energy sources as the radiant glory of Christ will supply all the power that we will need. Tears will be wiped away. All the inequities of life will be wonderfully and finally resolved.  Our broken bodies will be made whole. We will be with the Lord as we step into eternity!

With this great truth in hand do not be dismayed at the mess man has made of this world. Things like food prices, miles per gallon ratings, energy supply and costs, deadly diseases, the dark clouds of war, the pain of relationships will be gone. Yes, life is often difficult now. It appears that there will be no end to hurt and trouble. But compared to eternity these moments on earth pass in an instant.  There is more to life than can be seen.

Perhaps the great reality that your teenagers need to grasp is that life is devastatingly short. Are you comforted by the closeness of eternity? Do not hide what is unseen from yourself or from your family. Nothing that can be purchased can bring satisfaction.  Without the hope of eternity life makes no sense!

Thank God for the time and situations with which God blesses you now. God has called you to add to his reputation in all that you do. Rejoice in what is certain. Live for what is certain. Christ is coming back! As he said, it is not for us to know the times or dates chosen by the Father for his return( Acts 1:7).  But we do know that it will be the best possible time. No one will be concerned about the price of oil.

16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
