Biblical authority is one of the most frequently referenced and yet most frequently misunderstood concepts when speaking about Christian parenting.
Here is a twelve minute segment of an interview that I did with Dr. Tedd Tripp about the concept of biblical authority. Tedd offers a clear and compelling case for grasping the importance of biblical authority. Find twelve minutes and listen to this interview and then please leave a comment about your reaction. Understanding authority in the way that Tedd outlines here will have a dramatic impact on your parenting for God’s glory and the good of your children.

This is a fantastic interview and well worth the 12 minutes of time. The concept of authority is foundational to godly parenting. I especially appreciated the point that there is an option to biblical authority – our children will be fools. Thank you for this reminder!
Loved this, so needed! This is the answer to what has gone wrong in our society!
No Biblical or Godly Authority in the home, School or workplace. It is all about me
and my desires, my needs, my wants!
I used to live that way also. That did not go well for me.I was not brought up in a home
headed by a Godly man. My Mom and Dad took the path of Wrath to instill fear in all of us.
No respect for God led to no respect for them or myself. Now my second husband and I have two daugters and they have been taught from birth about Jesus and his love for us. We Home Educate so that they can recieve a Godly education. They both have Bibles and are instructed daily from them. I see though that they do need a clear understanding of Godly Authority. They need a clear focus that God is the authority, then Father then Mom and Dad together.
I want their lives to work out better than ours. No divorce, no immoral living, no addictions!
I continue to hope and pray that my husband will submit to Gods authority in every way.
Even though at times I have had doubt, I know that Christ still wants me to trust him when I doubt my husband. I have studied and focused on what my Bible has to say about my role as a Mother and wife. I keep praising God for what he is doing in my husbands heart and mind.
I try to keep a quiet and peaceful and humble heart and mind as God works out his purpose and plan in our family. I have forgiven my parents and love my earthly father deeply and pray
for his ability to come under Godly Authority before he leaves this earth and to forgive himself.
Thank you again for this ministry of truth.
